Connectors

A connector gives an assistant the same buttons a broker has. It reads a document, places the fields, asks before it sends, and does nothing that was not approved on screen first.

A library, not a file path

Thirty-one blank lender and government masters, chosen by category and then by lender or state. Each one carries the address it goes back to, so the form and its destination are never separated.

Boxes that know what they are

Dates, email, phone, BSB, ABN with a real checksum, postcode and tick boxes are recognised rather than treated as plain text. A date is laid out one digit per printed square.

Installing it

  1. Open Claude Desktop, then Settings, then Extensions.
  2. Drag briefcase-sign-0.1.0.mcpb onto the window.
  3. Name the folders it may touch. Documents, Downloads and Desktop are the usual three, and it can read nothing outside them.
  4. Ask for a discharge authority by lender name and the library opens the blank.

The build is handed over as a file, not downloaded from this preview.

Preview, then confirm

Fields are placed against the document's own wording, then rendered as an image of every page. Nothing is emailed until a person has looked at that image and said yes.

Sending is a separate act

The send tool is the only one that reaches a recipient, it cannot be undone, and it refuses to run without the token the preview issued.

Field types the signer can be given

A text field can be held to a rule that is checked in the signer's browser and again on the server: number, digits, length, Australian phone, BSB, ABN with its real checksum, or postcode.

A person approves the send

Neither connector should be set to approve itself. The send step exists so that a human sees the document before a client does.

No box is ticked for the signer

A default value is allowed on text, email and dropdown. It is refused on a tick box, because a pre-ticked box is a consent nobody gave.

The original survives

Saving writes a working copy. The file that came in is left exactly as it arrived.
