Three steps

About two minutes

Open the installer. Windows warns because it is not yet signed: choose More info, then Run anyway. It installs for your own account, no admin prompt, and updates itself from then on.
The dashboard opens on Welcome. Paste the key we sent you into the Azure tile and watch the light turn green, check your microphone, pick your role, and press Done.
Click into any text box, click your mouse's scroll wheel, talk, and click it again. The words land where your cursor was.

And what it never does

A Mac build is on the bench and ships as a signed download when it is seen working.

A headset or the laptop's own. The dashboard's check reads you a passage and says how well it heard.

Your words go to the transcriber and come back as text. Nothing is kept on a server, and nothing is sent unless you were dictating.
